Background:
St Augustine's is a Catholic Aided Junior and Infant school catering for boys and girls between the ages of four and 11 years. The present school building opened in September 1993. It is a one-storey building, attractively designed around a large internal courtyard. The school is fully accessible to the wheelchair bound. There are fourteen teaching bases, a computer suite, a library, hall and office accommodation. Cloakroom facilities are situated at each of the six separate entrances. These facilities and entrances are shared by every two or three classes. The school has achieved the Investor in People; School Achievement Award; Activemark Gold Award and Artsmark; Leeds Healthy Schools level 2. To educate each child to develop and achieve their potential within a caring, Catholic community, governed by Gospel values.
