Netherton School is a semi-open plan school, which was extended in 1981 and caters for up to 240 boys and girls between the ages of three and 11. It is situated at the southern end of Netherton village, which is five miles from Wakefield, fifteen miles from Leeds and ten miles from Huddersfield. It serves and draws its children primarily from a mixture of private and council houses within the village.
