Northfield school was founded in September 1996. It boasts extensive grounds and purpose built ICT suite (18 PCs, interactive whiteboard in suite and eight PCs in classrooms). It has an after school ICT club. The school offers a range of extra-curricular activities, which include music, football, dance and rugby. The school belongs to Wakefield ITT Partnership Promotion pilot.
