Background:

A co-educational Church of England primary school, the current site was developed in 1976, replacing the old and much smaller premises at Burley Woodhead, where the school had been since 1832; situated on south side of the large village of Burley-in-Wharfedale, on a private housing estate built at a similar time to the school.The school building is of a modern design, recently extended, providing a pleasant and effective working environment; extensive grounds include playground, playing field, conservation area, pond and stream.
