Background:
Previously known as Burley Middle School, Burley Oaks Primary School was established in September 2000 as a result of the re-organisation of schools in the Bradford district. It is maintained by the Bradford Metropolitan Council. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered including recorder and other instrumental lessons, choir, cross-stitch, chess, netball and football are offered to children. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in a variety of musical and dramatic performances throughout the year. The school has a very active parent-teacher association involved in organising numerous fund-raising functions and activities to support the school. Burley Oaks aims to be an excellent school, providing a caring, enriching, secure and disciplined environment in which all can achieve their full potential.
