Background:
Eldwick is a two form entry Primary School with a nursery, serving the villages of Eldwick and Gilstead, part of the town of Bingley, a suburb of Bradford. Previously Gilstead Middle School, it became Eldwick Primary School in September 2000. The school has an exciting and inspiring curriculum motivating children and staff. Good sports facilities. Strong community links. A wide range of extra curricular clubs take place, for different year groups, but mainly KS2 pupils. All clubs are open to both boys and girls, and take place either at lunchtimes or after school. Targeted charity fundraising. Artsmark Gold (2003 and 2006); Investor in People status (2005). Mutual respect and achievement for all; partnerships between all pupils, staff, parents, governors and community. The school'strive to provide the highest standard of education, inspiring, motivating and challenging the pupils, in a happy and secure environment.
