Background:
Blakehill Primary School is a local authority community primary school completed in 1975 to a semi-open plan specification. The reception unit is organised into two classes, in an open plan room with cloakroom, toilet facilities, with a nursery nurse and teacher for each class. The extension completed in 2001 includes extra classrooms, enlarged hall and some specialist teaching areas. There are a variety of sporting opportunities after school and other activities includes drama, choir, recorders, keyboard and martial arts. The school has a fully inclusive ethos. Everyone sets personal targets which are regularly reviewed and revised.
