Background:
Old Town is a Co-Educational Community Primary School for day pupils'. It is situated at the edge of Wadsworth Moor and enjoys extensive views across the Calder and Hebble Valleys and the surroundings hills. It was built in 1896 and consists of a two-storey building, which has three classrooms, a library, a hall and cloakrooms. The school curriculum covers the following subjects such as English, mathematics, science, Information and Communication Technology, geography, history, Design and Technology, religious education, art, Physical Education, music, health education and citizenship. The school aims to help children develop lively enquiring minds, the ability to question to question rationally and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills.
