Benton Park founded in 1959. The school occupies an excellent countryside location in attractive parklands, offering panoramic views of the Yorkshire Dales. Facilities of the school include a new classroom blocks, sports hall, playing fields and a new performing arts block. The school runs a successful Oxbridge programme. The school has Sportsmark, Charter mark, Inclusion Charter Mark, Beacon Status, Investor in People, Technology College Status, Artsmark Gold, International Status, and is a member of a networked learning community. The school runs a wide-ranging extra-curricular activities programme. It also provides a large variety of opportunities to enhance the learning of pupils at lunchtime and after school.
